On Friday the Police in Jigawa State have asked residents to report anybody seen with bullet injuries to the nearest security formation.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP A S Tafida, made the call after parading suspected kidnappers at the command headquarters in the state capital.
It was reported that the police in Jigawa State had arrested 14 kidnappers, recovered guns and rescued one victim in an operation carried out to curb criminal activities in the state.
The police boss said the exercise tagged “Operation Flush Out” was launched by the command as a response to the increasing number of kidnapping activities across the state.
Tafida added that during the fire exchange, some of the suspects escaped with bullet injuries.
He, therefore, urged people of the state, hospitals to be cautious and report anybody seen with bullet injuries to the nearest security office.
Tafida said the suspects were responsible for almost all the kidnapping activities in the state, including the recent abduction of a businessman and the death of two police officers in Kwalam town.
