On Thursday, 17 children of Sani Sha’aban, a former House of Representatives member representing Zaria and Kaduna State governorship aspirant, stormed the International Conference Centre in Abuja to obtain the N50 million expressions of interest and nomination forms for their father.
Asmau Sani-Sha’aban, speaking on behalf of the children, said that even though their father was not in the country, they believed in his ability to lead the state.
Apart from the incessant insecurity, Sani-Sha’aban noted that the El-Rufai administration has made incredible strides in the development of the state.
“We are here today because we, as his (Sha’aban) children, have gathered and decided to purchase the governorship form,” she explained.
He’s not here right now, and we wanted to give him this as a gift.”
We would like to believe that he has a better chance of winning for Kaduna State because the people love him, admire him, and he is a person who connects with people and has empathy.”
