N7.9bn corruption charges: Stella Oduah arrives court for arraignment

On Tuesday Nigeria former Minister of Aviation, Mrs Stella Adaeze Oduah has arrived the Federal High Court in Abuja to take her plea in the alleged N7.9 billion fraud charges brought against her by the Federal Government.

She is to be arraigned before Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo, alongside two other women and four companies.

Among the companies is the construction giant, China Civil Engineering Corporation CCECC.

Already, the Federal Government’s lawyer, Dr Hassan Liman, SAN, has also arrived in court.

About five Senior Advocates of Nigeria are also in court to defend the Senator and her co-defendants.

Other defendants are Gloria Odita, Nwosu Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore, and Marine Limited, Tip Top Global Resources Limited, Crystal Television Limited, Sobora International Limited, and a foreign construction company.

They are charged with conspiracy and money laundering, as well as maintaining anonymous bank accounts.
