Rivers State High court today ordered that PDP Governorship aspirant, Farah Dagogo be remanded to the correctional center as he was too weak to stand to take his plea.
Recall that a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt granted him bail
yesterday, ordering the state Commissioner of Police, Friday Eboka, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal and Investigation Department, Deputy Superintendent of Police, the state’s Attorney General, and Chief Magistrate, Amadi Nna, to release Dagogo from police detention and restore his personal liberty. But in a dramatic turn today, Dagogo was carried into the state high court by three policemen this afternoon.
He was brought to court in a police van and was hand lifted by the police into the court. His lawyer was absent and is said to not be aware that Dagogo was in court. The presiding judge, Justice Wogu, who earlier adjourned the matter till Monday next week, ordered that Dagogo appears in court on Monday from the correctional center.
Reporters were not allowed into the court sitting.
