Ikpeazu salutes Muslims in Abia on 2022 EID EL KABIR

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has sent a message of goodwill to all Muslims in Abia State on the occasion of this year’s EID EL KABIR.

Governor Ikpeazu describes the occasion as a time to remember and commemorate Allah’s great sacrifice for the world and urged Muslims in the State to imbibe the lessons and virtues of sacrifice, forgiveness and love for one another.

The Governor uses the opportunity to restate the determination of his administration to deal decisively with those who are behind the spate of criminality and kidnappings around Umunneochi LGA and its environs, and assures all citizens of the State of equal treatment irrespective of tribe and religion.

He further assured that his administration shall continue to uphold the Rights to Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion of every citizen by respecting their rights to worship provided that such rights will be exercised lawfully and in accordance with prevailing laws.

The Governor, on behalf of the Government and People of Abia State wishes all Muslims a peaceful Sallah celebrations.
