The Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi has said the party will publish an updated list of its Presidential Campaign Council.
It had been reported that there was a social media outcry following the appointment of Major General John Enenche rtd, as a member of the LP presidential advisory council.
Enenche had in 2020 claimed that photos and videos from the massacre at Lekki Tollgate during the EndSARS protest were photoshopped
But, Labour Party Supporters insisted that he is not worthy of any position in Obi’s campaign team due to his role in covering up the Lekki massacre in October 2020.
Reacting, Peter Obi in a tweet on Friday called for calm and patience.
He wrote, ”I’ve received several calls of concern following the release of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council list. Admittedly, there were some omissions and erroneous entries in the list, hence the concerns expressed.
”In response, the Labour Party Chairman in the presence of members of the NWC addressed the issues during a press conference.
”In keeping with our commitment to accountability, responsiveness and transparency, an updated list will be issued in due course. I plead for patience. ”
