The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP for Obingwa West State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Elder Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr., has commended widows from villages in Uhie for their support and prayers in the face of ill-health.
Erondu Jnr., while addressing widows across Uhie, numbering more than 800 together with Ndi Ezeji Oha Ngwa at his Umuaro residence on Saturday, said God has shown Himself in every facet of his life.
He also appreciated Ndi Ezeji Oha Ngwa, for visiting him and rendering blessings after an abundant yam harvest.
Erondu Jnr. revealed that God blessed him by giving him a bountiful yam harvest, stating that the only way to appreciate God for His blessing was to give some to the widows who in turn will pray for an abundant harvest in 2023.
He used the opportunity to call for peace among the people of Uhie, charging them to shun divisive tendencies that will be inimical to the growth of Ndi Uhie and Obingwa in general.
He also lauded the Royal fathers led by the Traditional Ruler Abayi Ancient Kingdom, Eze Dr. Nwabiaraije Eneogwe for their visit and royal blessings, expressing optimism that with their blessings, the seedlings to be planted next year will equally produce abundant seeds.
Responding, the Traditional Ruler Abayi Ancient Kingdom, Eze Dr. Nwabiaraije Eneogwe, said they came to appreciate God for what He has been doing for their son Erondu Jnr., adding that God ensures that there is bountiful harvest and as such the celebration of abundant yam harvest is not fetish as recorded in 2 Kings, Chapter 2 verse 2.
He appreciated Erondu Jnr., for touching the lives of Ndi Uhie, just as he used the medium to pray for long life and more open doors in all his endeavors.
