Chimaroke Nnamani, federal lawmaker representing Enugu East in the Red Chamber, has reacted to his defeat to the Labour Party candidate, Kevin Chukwu, in Enugu.
“My mistake, I blew it. Allowed my disdain for the dysfunctional Nigerian elite to get to me. Could not stand their kerfuffle. Will pursue a different paradigm next. They are my folks, ignorant, poor, and dirty. Live in face me, I face you home. I love them, 50k votes. Huge #Chimaroke”, he posted.
According to the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, the LP candidate, Chukwu, clinched the seat after polling 69,136 votes to defeat Nnamani, who scored 48,701.
It was reported that the election was held on Saturday, following the murder of former LP standard-bearer Oyibo Chukwu, days before the February 25 elections.
