The Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has declared that it will be difficult for him to stop the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from approaching the election petition tribunal with a view ho seeking redress over the outcome of Governoship and State House of Assembly elections in Abia State.

In an interview with Channels television which was monitored PUO reports, Governor Ikpeazu maintained that his earlier call on all those who ran election on different platforms to allow the winners enough time to serve the people appeared to have been ignored by both the Labour Party and the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abia State.

“Unfortunately the Labour party that was supposed to be the beneficiary of my piece of advice has taken House of Assembly members elected on the platform of the PDP to Court”

“I don’t know how to talk to somebody whose House of Assembly members elect are being taken to court” he said.

Ikpeazu said he view elections as an avenue to render service to the people, which was why he congratulated Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who was declared winner of Abia South Senatorial District and assured him that he was not going to distract him in Court.
