Alex Otti constitutes Transition team, shuns Ukwa Ngwa technocrats.
Abia State Governor elect Dr Alex Otti has constituted members of his Transition team who shall be solely responsible for his smooth take over of government come may 29 2023.
Otti in a statement endorsed by his Campaign secretariat said the transition team will be chaired by be chaired by Victor Onyenkpa, Partner and COO, KPMG, and co-chaired by Ifueko Omogui Okauru, former Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
While Victor Onyenkpa hails from Isiukwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, Mrs Ifueko Omogui Okauru also hails from the delta state.
Other members of the team are: Arunma Oteh, Professor Ndubuisi Ekekwe, Mr Uche Orji, Victor Okoronkwo, Mr. Frank Nneji and Ide John Udeagbala.
However, a close look at the 8man list revealed that while two delta indigenes were appointed as Chairman and co Chairman, no technocrat from Ukwa Ngwa axis of Abia State was worthy to be unveiled alongside the team.
A public affairs analyst Mr Nwadike Emmanuel from Aba wondered why the Abia State Governor elect Dr Alex Otti did not see any Ukwa Ngwa man worthy to be a member of the team.
He said the released list maybe a clear message from the Governor elect and his team to the people of Ukwa Ngwa geopolitical zone.
“We cannot be intimidated by name dropping, we are all Nigerians and know how the over rated names have been running this country aground with unreliable dictums, they create names that seem good on the surface but leverage on that to milk Nigeria”
“If you check their profiles and look at the situation of Nigeria today as a country, you will know there is nothing to rejoice yet”
“Ever heard of ” Wealth for all by the year 2000?, Millenium Development Goal,( MDG,), Sustainable Development Goal ( SDG ) Sovereign wealth ( SW ), Excess Crude Account ( ECA), off shore and on shore”
A member of the Alex Otti campaign team who spoke to PUO REPORTS on condition of anonymity said although the governor will add names from Ukwa Ngwa axis of Abia State but he considered the unveiled names as principals of the team.
