Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has said that the Independent National electoral commission (INEC) compromised the 2023 Governorship election in the State.
Ikpeazu in an interview with an online newspaper in Aba last week said the returning officer for the election Prof Nnenna Otti showed clearly that came to Abia for a hatchet job.
In his words “I had moved on, I never wanted to talk about the events of 2023 Election until the Professor started dancing publicly, Celebrating even in the University environment. This was quite curious.
“An umpire should be dispassionate. Have you seen a football Referee Celebrating a goal? Have you seen it anywhere? His duty is to say that a goal has been scored.
When you see a Referee Celebrating a goal to the point of removing his vest and start jumping into the crowd, then you know that, that Referee is the 12th player” the Governor said.
