Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has dismissed the rumour that the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji was planning to Impeach him few days to May 29 2023.
The Governor during a meeting with some of the Lawmakers at at his countryhome on Tuesday morning urged them to dismissed the rumour and allow peace to reign in the legislative arm of governance.
However, honourable Chukwudi Apugo, the Lawmaker representing Umuahia East State Constituency said the speaker was planning to Impeach the governor, a claim the governor asked them to dismiss.
The Governor said he share a personal relationship with the speaker whom he said can’t do him any bad.
