The newly elected Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Mandela Obasi has appreciated the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and members of the Abia State House of Assembly for electing him as the Deputy Speaker of the house
In a personal explanation during plenary on Wednesday 3rd May 2023 at the Abia State House of Assembly chambers, Hon Mandela Obasi said was happened was the will of God as he was happy that the title “Rt Hon” has been added to his name.
Hon Mandela Obasi who represents Ohafia North State Constituency at the House was elected the new Deputy Speaker following the suspension and removal of the Former Deputy Speaker.
PUO reports that the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji congratulated the new Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Mandela Obasi and advised him not to betray his boss and his colleagues like his predecessor did.
