The National Leadership of the All Progressive Congress(APC) has withdrawn it’s petition challenging the electoral victory of Sir Siminalaye Fubara, the Governor elect of Rivers State.
Fubara who is the anointed successor of Rivers State Governor Barr Nyesom Wike won the 2023 Rivers State Governorship election defeating the candidate of the All Progressive Congress Arc Tonye Cole and other Governorship candidates.
PUO reports gathered that as part of the truce and compensatory plans for Governor Nyesom Wike by the President elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leadership has withdrawn it’s petition challenging the Victory of Fubara in Rivers State.
Recalled that the Independent National electoral commission (INEC) has declared the APC candidate winner of the 2023 Presidential election for Rivers State.
Tinubu polled a total of 231,591 votes in Rivers State as against Peter Obi of the Labour Party who polled 175,071 votes.
Atiku scored 88,468, while Mr Kwankwaso scored 1,322 votes.
