Embattled Former Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly Rt Hon Ifeanyi Uchendu has sued the clerk of the Abia State House of Assembly, the Director of Finance of the house seeking an Exparte order against the management of the Abia State House of Assembly.
Ifeanyi Uchendu who was impeached as the Deputy Speaker of the House on the 2nd of May 2023 for Presided over a failed and illegal impeachment on the Speaker Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji is also praying the court to nullify his removal as Deputy Speaker of the current Abia State House of Assembly.
The Former Deputy Speaker in a Motion Ex Parte filed against the Clerk and Speaker of Abia House of Assembly at the Federal High Court Umuahia further asked the court to order the clerk of the House Sir Pedro Irokansi and the Director of Finance to pay him his entitlement as Deputy Speaker.
PUO reports that the matter which came up today Thursday 25th May was not heard as the Court did not sit today.
The Court adjourned the matter to 7th day of June 2023.
The current 7th Assembly comes to an end on 10th June 2023.
