The Abia State Election Petition Tribunal will resume it’s sitting scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 13th June 2023 at the State High Court headquarters in Umuahia following the intervention of the Chief Judge of Abia State Justice Lilian Agbai on the striking Judiciary workers.

PUO reports recalls that the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria(JUSUN) Abia State Chapter has been on strike for over two months which necessitated the relocation of the Abia State Election Petition Tribunal to Abuja.

However, few days after the swearing of Dr Alex Otti as the Governor of Abia State, the Tribunal relocated to Government House Umuahia which raised a lot of suspicion from opposition political parties over the neutrality of the Panel.

The State Chapter of JUSUN has agreed to allow the Election Petition Tribunal resume it’s sitting at the High Court premises in Umuahia.
