There is currently an ongoing commotion at the Inaugural sitting of the 8th Abia State House of Assembly holding at the Assembly complex Umuahia.
Trouble started after the clerk of the House Mr John Pedro Irokansi refused to recognize nomination from lawmakers elect from the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
During the Nomination for the Office of the Speakership, Hon Mandela Obasi raised his hands but was refused recognition by the clerk.
However, the Immediate past Majority Leader Hon Solomon Akpulonu left his seat to protest the refusal of the clerk to yet again recognize nomination for the office of the Depute Speaker after the nomination of Hon Kelechi Nmeregini.
