In a shocking incident, the girls’ hostel (Hostel D) of Rivers State University was targeted by robbers in the early hours of today at 2:00 am. The assailants made off with numerous phones and laptops, leaving a wave of panic and fear in their wake.
Even more distressing, it has been reported that a horrifying incident of sexual assault occurred during the robbery, leaving a young girl traumatized and injured.
In response to this distressing event, this morning witnessed a strong and impassioned protest by the female students of the university. They gathered to demand justice for the victim and increased security measures to ensure the safety of all students on campus.
