In a recent visit to Ahoada Area Command, newly deployed Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Tunji Disu, emphasized the urgency of apprehending the wanted gang leader, Gift Okpara (2Baba), and his associates. The visit also included discussions with Ahoada East Local Government Chairman, Chief Barr Ben Eke, who expressed his unwavering commitment to support the Nigerian Police Force in ensuring a safe Ahoada East.
CP Disu, determined to restore peace in Ahoada East and Ekpeye, affirmed that the command, under his leadership, will spare no effort in delivering justice for the killing of the former DPO. The visit extended to Odieremenyi community, where five natives were tragically killed.
Chairman Ben Eke commended CP Disu for prioritizing Ahoada East in his early days in office. He praised the professionalism of the Ahoada East Police Force and assured continued support. Arrests have already been made, and ongoing investigations aim to uncover the root causes of the recent unrest, with Chairman Eke emphasizing that no one involved will be exempt from justice.
