During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which is currently taking place in Ivory Coast, former Chelsea player John Obi Mikel has announced his all-time African XI for the Premier League.
Former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez and Arsenal icon Nwankwo Kanu were not on the list of former Super Eagles captains.
Oddly enough, Obi Mikel left his name off the list as well.
The retired football player revealed his Premier League all-time African XI on his podcast, The Obi One.
On Tuesday, he shared it on Instagram as well.
The current African XI (4-2-1-3) for Obi-Mikel’s Premier League is as follows:
Édouard Mendy (GK); Jay-Jay Okocha (CAM); Mohamed Salah (RW), Didier Drogba (CF), Lauren (RB), Celestine Babayaro (LB), Kolo Toure (CB), Lucas Radebe (CB), and Sadio Mane (LW).
