Opposition political parties have been instructed by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to propose long-term solutions to the nation’s problems instead of just voicing grievances.
The call was made by APC spokesman Felix Morka on Tuesday during an interview on Politics Today on Channels Television.
He bemoaned that one of their worries is that the opposition did not only focus on condemnation, emphasizing that condemnation alone was insufficient.
According to him, “the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and the Labour Party, LP, also campaigned to undertake some of the reforms the President Bola Tinubu government is undertaking.”
Considering that the Tinubu administration was new, he said that the government understood the difficulties that Nigerians faced and urged patience.
He added, “This government is not one year. We are a few months old. Look at the inputs under this government. The bold steps they have taken to tackle these fundamental problems.”
According to the statement, the challenges were only temporary barriers to the nation’s reconstruction.
