William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, and Ademola Lookman—the three members of the Super Eagles—have been named to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Best X1.
The tournament squad was announced by the Confederation of African Football, or CAF, on Wednesday.
Troost-Ekong gave the Super Eagles three goals during the match.
The 30-year-old received the Player of the Tournament award as well.
Aina helped the Super Eagles place in the competition’s Best X1, showcasing his defensive brilliance.
Ademola Lookman, a winger for Atlanta, was among Nigeria’s top players during the tournament.
In seven games for the three-time Cote d’Ivoire champions, Lookman scored three goals.
Three players are included in the lineup for the hosts, Cote d’Ivoire.
They are, Jean Michael Seri, Ghislan Konan and Franck Kessie.
