Fresh Charge: Emefiele arrives court for arraignment

Godwin Emefiele, the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is currently in Lagos at the Ikeja High Court awaiting his arraignment.

The previous governor of the top bank, who is currently under investigation, is accused of misusing his position and giving himself billions of dollars.

On Monday (today), Emefiele and his co-defendant, Henry Isioma Omole, are scheduled to be arraigned before Justice Rahman Oshodi on 26 new counts.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, claimed that Emefiele mishandled his position between 2022 and 2023 in the accusation dated April 3, 2024 and tagged ID/23787c/2024.
