Cole Palmer of Chelsea has disclosed his choice for the Players’ Player of the Year.
Palmer confirmed his outstanding season with the team by winning both the Men’s Player of the Year and Men’s Players’ Player of the Year titles at Chelsea’s end-of-season awards banquet on Tuesday.
Since leaving Manchester City, Palmer has been a terrific player, so it is no surprise that he is a strong favorite to win the prized prize.
Thiago Silva won this esteemed award the previous season. Palmer’s £42.5 million summer transfer was met with initial skepticism, but his outstanding performances have put those voices to rest.
Palmer supported Malo Gusto for Players’ Player of the Year at the awards presentation, citing the defender’s outstanding performances all season long as well as their on-field chemistry.
“I voted for Malo Gusto,” Palmer responded.
“I love playing with him on the right and he’s been amazing this season when he’s played, so that’s why I voted for him.”
