Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has asserted that Diezani Alison-Madueke, the troubled former minister of petroleum resources, hired out her yacht to well-known individuals, including the billionaire American couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
In the trailer for Chude Jideonwo’s new documentary, “Is It Your Money?: The Story of Diezani Alison-Madueke,” Sowore made this assertion.
He declared, “All the revelations that came out of the Diezani story by now, should have become a movie. Buying a yacht with the money of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and riding it around and renting it out to Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé. I think that is more brazen.”
Between 2010 and 2015, Alison-Madueke held the position of Minister of Petroleum for Nigeria under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
She is now being prosecuted domestically and internationally on several counts of corruption.
