On Thursday, Rivers United will introduce Finidi George as their new head coach.
Following Stanley Eguma’s dismissal at the end of the last campaign, it was rumored that the 54-year-old will assume leadership of the former Nigeria Premier Football League winners.
The unveiling ceremony will take place in Port Harcourt at Rivers United’s secretariat.
A few weeks after resigning as head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi is back in the dugout.
Before going on to coach the Super Eagles, the former Ajax winger spent three years as the manager of Enyimba, the nine-time NPFL champions.
Enyimba’s 2022–2023 title win was orchestrated by Finidi.
Last season, Rivers United placed an unsatisfactory seventh in the NPFL.
