The Governors’ Forum, the People Democratic Party, and the PDP have pledged to take back all leadership roles held by other political parties.

The promise was made by Bala Mohammed, the PDP Governors Forum Chairman, at the forum’s Wednesday launch at Government House in Enugu.

He stated that because they are in Enugu to create history and demonstrate their tenacity to the party, this gathering is the most ambitious and unique in the party’s history.

“Today we are here to unify ourselves, discuss issues that affect the party and various matters within ourselves.

“Our agenda will go through governance across party administration, discuss inter-party affairs, congress and other things we need to do in providing credible alternatives to Nigerians,” he said.

He claims that in addition to other party stakeholders including the national working committee and other party organizations, PDP governors are present at the conference.

The governor emphasized, “We will not allow that because we share history and the aspiration for Nigerians,” adding that their assessment had revealed the nation was heading into anarchy.

“It is high time the party reclaimed its leadership position in all the states that are currently being occupied by other parties,” he said.

Mohammed expressed his gratitude to Governor Peter Mbah for organizing the gathering and looking after them since their arrival on Tuesday.

Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Umo Eno of Akwa-Ibom, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Godwin Obaseki of Edo, Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau, Agbu Kefas of Taraba, and Dauda Lawal of Zamfara States were among those in attendance, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.

The other two are Adamawa’s Ahmed Fintiri and Bayelsa’s Douye Diri, who includes the host governor, Peter Mbah of Enugu State.
