Andre Onana, the goalie for Manchester United, has forewarned supporters that he will be taking more chances this year.

Last summer, Onana was brought in by United boss Erik ten Hag to take David De Gea’s place.

Because of his capacity to play more expansively by passing out from the back, coming off his line, and even outside his penalty box, the Cameroonian goalkeeper was brought in.

When Onana made his home debut against Lens, he was defeated from the halfway line in his early days.

However, following a slow start, the 28-year-old found his footing and appeared in all but one of United’s 54 games.

“I think it’s what you’re going to see this season because I will take a lot of risks,” Onana stated prior to his season campaign.

“I can tell you in advance already! Be prepared because it’s going be (like that) this season, trust me! I will enjoy it even more when this season starts.

“The best team in the world takes risks. Building from the back, recognizing things, situations, when the opponent jumps one against one or when they press with three or with four.”
