Three months before the presidential election, US Vice President Kamala Harris will designate her running mate on Tuesday. The two will then embark on a five-day tour of the nation’s hottest battleground states.

After taking Joe Biden’s place atop the Democratic ticket, Kamala Harris’s campaign has gotten into full swing, shattering funding records and eliminating the advantage that Republican opponent Donald Trump had amassed.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, a rising star in the Democratic Party, is rumored to have been the front-runner to succeed Harris as her vice presidential choice, ahead of a number of other state governors, according to US senator and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

According to reports on Monday, Harris had decided between Shapiro and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for one of the most important decisions of her political career and will probably make the announcement via video.

Harris was keeping fans guessing about her running partner less than a day before their swing state tour by saying in a text message on Monday night, “I have not made my decision yet.”

Before traveling to Wisconsin and Michigan on Wednesday, Arizona on Friday, and Nevada on Saturday, the 59-year-old and her recently appointed deputy will conduct a rally on Tuesday at Temple University in Philadelphia.

In addition, she had planned events in battleground states Georgia and North Carolina on Thursday and Friday, respectively. However, according to local media, a tropical storm affecting the Southeast prompted the delay of her scheduled activities. A request for details was not answered by the Harris campaign.
