President Bola Tinubu has lauded Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as he retires from his position as Chief Justice of Nigeria, marking the end of a notable career in public service. Justice Ariwoola, who served on the Court of Appeal in several divisions before his elevation to the Supreme Court in 2011, became Chief Justice in 2022. Throughout his tenure, he was recognized for his leadership in the judiciary and contributions to Nigerian law.
President Tinubu commended Justice Ariwoola for his dedication and service, emphasizing the positive impact he had on the nation’s legal system.
The President is scheduled to formally swear in Justice Ariwoola’s successor at the State House Council Chambers on August 23, 2024.
