The Nigerian Armed Forces have been given a mission by President Bola Tinubu to maintain vigilance and initiative in responding to threats to regional security.
At the Nigerian Defence College in Abuja’s Course 32 Graduation Ceremony, Tinubu delivered the keynote address.
Vice President Kashim Shettima represented Tinubu, who stated that his administration is committed to ensuring that Nigeria is a secure place for investment and economic growth.
He emphasized that the country’s security concerns are a mirage that require strategic leadership to address.
Nineteen foreign participants out of the total 111 participants were reported to have attended the course.
The Vice President asked the attendees to uphold the value of patriotism throughout his speech.
He stated that in order to put the participants’ core recommendations into practice, the federal government would investigate them in their entirety report.
Additionally, he pledged that his administration will finish the continuing work at the National Defence College’s permanent location.
