Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has congratulated Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on his victory at the Supreme Court over the 2023 governorship election.
It will be recalled that the apex on Friday dismissed the appeals filed against Uzodinma’s election for lacking in merit.
Kalu in a statement said that he has never had any iota of doubt that Governor Uzodinma won the November 11, 2023 governorship election convincingly.
He said that the Governor’s victory at the polls and subsequently at the Supreme Court eloquently testified to the fact that the people came our on en masse on the election day to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Kalu commended the judiciary for protecting the people’s mandate and upholding the ideals of democracy in Imo State.
He urged the governor to continue in his resolve to change the narrative in Imo State by delivering the dividends of democray to the people.
