Alleged IPOB Threat: Police Operatives stationed around Imo State, federal secretariats

In response to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) allegedly threatening to assault the Imo State Secretariat, Commissioner of Police CP Aboki Danjuma has deployed command personnel to key locations within the Secretariat in order to repel any potential attacks.

The Police Commissioner took the step after visiting the Federal and State Secretariats in the State to ensure civil officials of their maximum safety in light of recent threats from IPOB, according to a press release issued by the command spokesperson, Henry Okoye.

“During the visit, CP Danjuma engaged with the civil servants, underscoring the Command’s readiness and commitment to their protection. He detailed the mobilization of well-equipped operatives and assured the implementation of enhanced security strategies to ensure a safe working environment in the secretariat and other areas in the State.”

In response to the CP’s visit, State Head of Service Raymond Ucheoma reportedly praised him for taking a proactive stance in addressing the IPOB threat. He also mentioned that the implementation of strict security measures at the Secretariats gave employees the assurance they needed to perform their jobs well.
