The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has threatened to cause political turmoil in the state of any governor who attempts to meddle in the party’s affairs in Rivers State. The Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, Governors’ Forum, has urged the security agencies to take notice of this threat.

Emmanuel Agbo, the PDP Governors’ Forum’s director general, revealed this in a statement.

The message made clear that the legislation applies to everyone.

Remembers that Wike declared, “I pity those governors because I will put fire in their states,” at a speech on Saturday in Port Harcourt. “I hear some governors who say they will take over the structure and give back to somebody.”

The governors claim that Wike’s comments and threats to live in harmony while setting fire to the states under PDP leadership are uncontrolled, careless, and intolerable.

They went on to say that Wike’s remarks undercut initiatives to create and preserve harmony, unity, cooperation, and respect between party leaders and members.

They expressed regret that someone who had served as a governor would make such remarks.

The Forum has always upheld the principle of “touch one, touch all,” encouraging members to support and stand by one another in all situations.

“A tradition Wike tremendously enjoyed in his days as governor.

Therefore, we maintain that no one, no matter how far up in the hierarchy, may question our position on PDP issues in Rivers State, as unanimously decided at our 2024, Third, and Fourth Meetings held in Enugu and Taraba states, respectively.

The governors pledged to collaborate with the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to guarantee that Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara receives all the benefits to which he is legally entitled as a result of his election on the party platform at both the state and federal levels.
