Please, ignore the FAKE NEWS initiated by one Ikechukwu Iroha and being circulated by other embittered members of a faction of the opposition PDP, allegeging that the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Goodluck Ubochi has resigned his appointment.

This report is completely false, baseless, unfounded and devoid of anything close to the truth.

In the words of the Honourable Commissioner “I was shocked and embarrassed by that report which is false. Even my wife has called me, and she was very embarrassed, but I told her it’s false. The Speaker was the first that alerted me and lot of other persons have called me, but I told them the report was completely false”

Just a few days ago, there were leaked chat messages from a WhatsApp group belonging to the PDP where some former appointees of the former PDP led-government and other young men were recruited and given a mandate to continue to churn out falsehood geared towards discrediting the Governor and his government with a view to using disinformation and distortions to cause confusion, disaffection and destabilisation of the polity. The group took off with a false publication which they credited to Nigeria’s Former Finance Minister and DG of the World Trade Organisation, Dr. Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, a report Madam DG has since denied with a stern warning to the opposition that she would take serious action against them if they do not discontinue and turn a new leaf.

The general public are therefore enjoined to look at any news report emanating from the opposition with suspicion and caution, because they are presently frustrated and on the loose, and thus capable of fabricating all kinds of lies to mislead the people.
