Abia State’s governance journey has indeed been a rollercoaster ride, especially with the complexities of policy analysis, making, implementation, and feedback. The phrase *”follow the money”* has taken on a whole new meaning in our dear state, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.

Key Developments* have underscored the state’s commitment to progress. Notably, the African Development Bank’s approval of a $115 million loan to support road rehabilitation, erosion control, and solid waste management marks significant progress. Additionally, Governor Alex Otti’s commissioning of multiple road projects, including the 15th road project in Aba within one year, demonstrates infrastructure development. The Aba Integrated Power Project (Aba IPP), financed by Afreximbank, aims to provide reliable power supply.

The Way Forward* necessitates sustained transparency and accountability. To achieve this, *Transparency and Accountability* should involve regularly *publishing verifiable projects* and *engaging with policy critiques humanely

Infrastructure Development* should continue, focusing on road rehabilitation, erosion control, and solid waste management. *Power Supply* initiatives, such as the Aba IPP, will provide reliable energy. *Economic Growth* depends on fostering a conducive business environment for growth and job creation.

Embracing Critique for Progress* is crucial. Policy critiques are not enemies but partners in progress. The governor’s Media Group should engage them honestly and listen to their feedback. *Let the Chief Executive hear the truth in love to sustain the *Otti Wave*. By embracing critique and continuing on this trajectory, Abia State can make meaningful progress in governance and development.
