Omoyele Sowore, an activist politician, called President Bola Tinubu’s administration a sadistic one on Friday.
Sowore was responding to the Federal Government’s intention to arraign 75 #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstrators.
According to reports, on November 1, 2024, the Nigerian government will arraign the minor demonstrators before Abuja Federal High Court Justice Egwuatu.
According to Sowore, the majority of the demonstrators had been detained for 80 days.
Posting on X, Sowore wrote: “The sadistic regime of @officialABAT is set to prosecute 75 individuals affiliated with the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria movement on treason charges before Justice Egwuatu on November 1st, 2024.
“Several of these individuals -several of them minors- have spent 80 days in unjust incarceration before the sham trial is to commence. #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria #RevolutionNow.”
From August 1 to August 10, Nigerians used the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria to demonstrate against the country’s suffering.
However, thugs took over the demonstration, causing damage to some demonstrators and damaging infrastructure throughout the nation.
Some of the demonstrators were taken into custody by a group of unified security personnel.
