Raymond Ofoegbu, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA candidate for Umuahia North in the next Abia State local government election, has counseled Governor Alex Otti and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, to leave LP and join APGA.
Speaking on FLO FM in Umuahia on Wednesday, Ofoegbu stated that if Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti rejoin the APGA prior to the 2027 elections, the party’s political interests will be best served.
“At a critical time like this when betrayal has become the order of the day, I am still putting my voice to call upon Peter Obi and Alex Otti to return to APGA and have a smooth ride in 2027.
“The fight is against them. I don’t know why they are not seeing it”, the APGA man remarked.
Ofoegbu, who claimed that the ruling APC is to blame for the Labour Party and PDP crisis in order to undermine the opposition before the next election, insisted that both Obi and Otti, who were once members of the APGA, would strengthen the party and put it back on track if they agreed to leave their current party and rejoin the APGA.
