Erik ten Hag has been fired by Manchester United.
After a dismal start to the season, Ten Hag’s two-and-a-half-year tenure at Old Trafford came to an end on Monday.
United is now ranked 14th in the Premier League table following a string of disappointing performances.
After being hired in April 2022, Ten Hag guided the team to two domestic championships: the FA Cup in 2024 and the Carabao Cup in 2023.
In the summer, new co-owners INEOS supported the 54-year-old former Ajax manager by extending his contract through June 2026.
However, the manager is already paying the price for Man Utd’s inconsistent play after their lackluster start to the new campaign.
