Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says the state government through the Fintiri Business Wallet initiative will support 60,000 women and youths in Adamawa State.
This program aims to inject N3 billion into the state’s economy, enabling residents to build resilient businesses and foster economic growth.
The Governor revealed this in the Banquet Hall, Government House Yola when he received a delegation of stakeholders from Hong LGA on a courtesy call on Saturday.
The Governor assured that the support will be rolled out between now and December, 2024, creating new opportunities and strengthening livelihoods across communities.
Addressing concerns about civil servant salaries, Fintiri refuted claims of illegal deductions.
He clarified that the PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax is a standard deduction and explained that the state government had not deducted taxes for two months until the last month, following the implementation of the new minimum wage.
During a visit from the delegation, Governor Fintiri received a request for the creation of the Hoba chiefdom. He promised to study the request and consider its merits.
The Governor reassured Adamawa residents of his administration’s commitment to positive change, security, and progress.
“The best is yet to come,” he said, reaffirming his dedication to delivering his mandate and taking Adamawa to the promised land.
