Chief Enyinnaya Duke Ako-Atulomah President of the Enyioma Foundation, has condemned the unprovoked attack and killing of soldiers in Ekenobizi Umuokpara. He described this act as atrocious and a challenge to our shared humanity, emphasizing that the soldiers were there to protect lives and property and did not deserve to be killed.

The UK-based philanthropist expressed concern over the rising wave of insecurity in the state, noting that it may deter those wishing to spend Christmas at home.

He urged the military to maintain professionalism in the face of such provocations, adhering to their rules of engagement while they search for the individuals responsible for this senseless act.

Chief Atulomah encouraged military authorities to rely on intelligence and professionalism instead of engaging in reprisal attacks against the community. He emphasized the importance of identifying the perpetrators of this heinous crime and ensuring they face justice.

Furthermore, he called on the state government to enhance security across the state, particularly during the holiday season, to allow Abians living abroad to visit and celebrate Christmas at home.

“My heart goes out to the families of the fallen heroes and to the Nigerian Army. I urge the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly,” he stated.
