A pay raise for Nigerian military personnel has been authorized by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Henshaw Ogubike, the ministry’s spokeswoman, revealed this information in a statement released by Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defense, on Friday.
Additionally, the government authorized the payment of three months’ worth of unpaid salaries.
He has also made money available to pay retired military personnel’s unpaid pensions and benefits.
The minister acknowledged that military members have started receiving warnings about the three-month pay hike, indicating a major improvement in military morale.
He praised Tinubu’s steadfast dedication to military personnel, both active and retired, and emphasized that paying pensioners’ pension arrears is still a top priority.
“Despite initial setbacks, be rest assured that the President will do everything within his power to uplift our military forces as they confront the challenges of insecurity,” he stated.
I always be with the good government, who helps it’s followers have a nice day.
Good government always do the right thing.
