In 2027, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the New Nigeria People’s Party’s presidential candidate for 2023, has promised “to significantly reduce the All Progressives Congress’ votes in Kano State.”
During a meeting with former council members and senior special advisors from the previous administration on Wednesday at his Kano home, Kwankwaso revealed this.
He thanked his staff for their efforts in the 2023 elections, pointing out that the Peoples Democratic Party received only 15,000 votes in Kano as a result of their efforts.
Kwankwaso credited this triumph to the NNPP’s outstanding accomplishment, which was made possible by their late-starting campaign and status as a new political platform.
“Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come 2027”, he said.
In order to establish the NNPP as a powerful force in Kano and beyond, the former governor underlined the necessity of commitment and grassroots organizing.
Kwankwaso asked his followers to stay committed to producing outcomes that would guarantee the party’s victory in upcoming elections.
