Kenny Ogungbe, the CEO of Kennis Music and an ace music executive, has responded to the claims that he caused Plantashun Boiz’s breakup.
Rumor has it that Plantashun Boiz split up after 2Face, the star performer, was signed by Kennis Music.
In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Keke addressed the issue, stating that when 2Face approached him for help, the gang had already disbanded.
He said, “People have been saying l’m the one responsible for the breakup of Plantashun Boiz.
“That’s not true. 2face came to me himself after the group had broken up that he wanted to sign with Kennis music and Eedris Abdulkareem told me to sign him which I did.”
The band Plantashun Boiz, which included 2Face, Blackface, and Faze, broke up in 2004 following the release of their second album, “Sold Out.”
The band got back together in 2007 for their third and last album, “Plan B,” before breaking up once more.
