Socialite and celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has addressed reports suggesting that Burna Boy gifted $30,000 to his alleged brother.
The socialite clarified that the man in the viral video receiving the money from Burna Boy is not his sibling, contrary to widespread speculation.
The confusion arose after Burna Boy pledged to give $30,000 to a phone repairer who previously claimed in a viral video that he was struggling, despite allegedly being a brother to Cubana Chief Priest.
The claim came during a social media spat between the singer and the nightlife mogul.
In a latest development, the singer has now fulfilled this promise, sparking joy and gratitude from Okechukwu.
Taking to Instagram, Okechukwu is seen thanking Burna Boy for helping him escape poverty.
Okechukwu, in the video, called on Nigerians to join him in celebrating Burna Boy’s generosity.
Reacting to the development on his Instastory, Cubana Chief Priest dismissed the notion that the man is
related to him, stating that he has only one biological brother and two sisters, all of whom are doing well.
He further emphasised that he is not obligated to support his siblings financially.
In his words, “Alleged brother! Skit makers f**kin oppressors. Dem don kneel am down, you go still bend am down because the pain must reach everybody, but my own be say no alert oh no cash oh I wan just dey sure say my village boy collect for real.
