In front of international leaders, John Mahama took the oath of office as Ghana’s next president.

According to reports, the former governor defeated Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, his primary rival, and was proclaimed the victor of the 2024 presidential election on December 8.

Mahama was re-elected, bringing him back to power after serving as the nation’s 12th president from 2011 to 2017.

Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, left Lagos on Monday to attend the inauguration.

The Republic of Ghana’s capital, Accra, is the site of the event right now.
