Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, should have been freed by President Bola Tinubu, according to activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju.

Tinubu’s choice to stick with the methods of former President Muhammadu Buhari is unsatisfactory, according to Adeyanju.

“Tinubu should have released Nnamdi Kanu since,” he stated in a post on X.

“It is easier to criticize than to govern. This is why critics are usually bad leaders and examples abound all over the world and Africa. If in doubt, look at APC.”

Since his capture by security personnel in Kenya and subsequent rendition to Nigeria in June 2021, Kanu has been detained.
