Port Harcourt, January 10, 2025 – Senator Magnus Abe has dismissed viral videos and reports circulating on social media suggesting a feud between him and the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike.
In a statement released earlier today, Senator Abe described the campaign as an orchestrated effort by “mischief makers and paid political jobbers” to create an illusion of discord between him and Wike, whom he referred to as “a friend, brother, and political leader in Rivers State.”
He condemned the use of old video clips twisted out of context and false narratives, labeling the attempt as “dead on arrival.” The Senator reaffirmed his unwavering support for Wike, citing the minister’s commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s administration and his efforts to unify Rivers State’s diverse political landscape.
“I am with Wike,” Senator Abe declared, emphasizing his loyalty and reiterating his belief in Wike’s ability to advance the renewed hope agenda under President Tinubu.
The Senator urged Nigerians to focus on personal and national development in the new year, ignoring baseless propaganda and divisive narratives.
“This propaganda will run its course, but we will remain focused on issues that add value,” Abe concluded.
