On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu met with Akinwumi Adesina, the president of the African Development Bank, and Yemi Osinbajo, the immediate vice president.

Osinbajo and Adesina met Tinubu when they met in Tanzania’s Dar es Salaam.

“The former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo greeted President Tinubu during their encounter in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on January 28, 2025,” stated @Imran Muhdz, an X user, who posted a picture of the meeting.

Tinubu had come to Dar es Salaam a few days prior to the start of the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit yesterday.

Tanzania’s Minister of State, Ali Ameir, welcomed Tinubu, who arrived at 10.20 p.m. (8.20 p.m. Nigerian time), to the Office of the President.

The African Union, the World Bank Group, the African Development Bank Group, and the Tanzanian government are hosting the two-day conference.

In order to achieve universal energy access within five years, participating nations—including Nigeria—will propose their national energy policies, or compacts, at the ministerial level on the first day.

“I was delighted to welcome H.E. President Tinubu ⁦@officialABAT⁩ to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania for the Africa Energy Summit, organized by the ⁦@AfDB_Group⁩ and the ⁦@WorldBank,⁩ with the Government of Tanzania,” Adesina said in a post welcoming Tinubu to Dar Es Salaam. I sincerely appreciate you honoring us, Mr. President.
