A list of nations that qualify for the United States’ 2025 Visa Waiver Program, or VWP, has been released.
Although it is no longer a part of the program, the UK is still eligible under certain restrictions.
However, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, and other African nations are not on the list.
Romania was added in a major upgrade, but otherwise the VWP list is largely unaltered.
The Visa Waiver Program permits the majority of citizens of qualifying nations to enter the United States for up to 90 days for business or pleasure without a visa, according to the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs.
The agency stated, “Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel and meet all requirements explained below.
“If you prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor visa.”
Additionally, the 2025 Visa Waiver Program has brought new travel regulations, changes to the list of participating nations, and policy amendments regarding permit eligibility.
